For
my first solo exhibition, I will be showing monoprints which have Butterflies as the central theme, inspired by a visit to a butterfly habitat in the
Papua New Guinea Highlands more than 30 years ago.
Working for this exhibition has given me the opportunity to experiment with collage, collagraphs and paint – building up layers of repetitive patters, shapes and colour in many different ways. It’s been fun creating abstract forms from representational images.
The
exhibition will be at the Cambridge Studio Gallery in Collingwood from 5 – 22
September 2012., and well known Melbourne printmaker, Marco Luccio will open
the exhibition on Saturday 8 September between 4-6 pm.
